Additional Happy for No Reason: 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out Information

What would it take to make you happy? A fulfilling career, a big bank account, or the perfect mate? What if it didn't take anything to make you happy? What if you could experience happiness from the inside out -- no matter what's going on in your life?

In Happy for No Reason: 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out, transformational expert Marci Shimoff offers a breakthrough approach to being happy, one that doesn't depend on achievements, goals, money, relationships, or anything else "out there." Most books on happiness tell you to find the things that make you happy and do more of them. Although there's nothing wrong with that, it won't bring you the kind of deep and lasting happiness most people long for -- the kind you'll never lose, no matter what happens in your life. Based on cutting-edge research and knowledge from the world's leading experts in the fields of positive psychology and neurophysiology, plus interviews with 100 truly happy people, this life-changing book provides a powerful, proven 7-step program that will enable you to be happier right now -- no matter where you start.

Studies show that each of us has a "happiness setpoint" -- a fixed range of happiness we tend to return to throughout our life -- that's approximately 50 percent genetic and 50 percent learned. In the same way you'd crank up the thermostat to get comfortable on a chilly day, you can actually raise your happiness set-point! The holistic 7-step program at the heart of Happy for No Reason encompasses Happiness Habits for all areas of life: personal power, mind, heart, body, soul, purpose, and relationships.

In these pages you'll discover moving and remarkable first-person stories of people who have applied these steps to their own lives and have become Happy for No Reason. You'll read phenomenal tales from a former drug dealer turned minister, a hit filmmaker, and a famous actress who escaped a "family curse," as well as stories from doctors, mothers, teachers, and business executives. You'll learn practical strategies that will help you experience happiness from the inside out.

You don't have to have happy genes, win the lottery, or lose twenty pounds. By the time you finish this book, you will know how to experience sustained happiness for the rest of your life.

What Customers Say About Happy for No Reason: 7 Steps to Being Happy from the Inside Out:

Amazing Book, learnt lot about how to be happy and if i am not how to change how i feel.

I already do begin to feel "Happy for no Reason. I am still reading this book and intend to start over once I am done. I am enjoying the material and the supporting writers.

There are a lot of personal stories, which might get in the way if you are reading it and impatient to just get to "the bottom line," but as an audio book, they really help deepen the understanding by creating more of an experience than a thought, if that makes sense. For example, analogies are all about gardening and stuff like that, very gentle and soft stuff, nothing about the joy of pushing through a challenge or being a warrior in difficult circumstance.

Nonetheless, I found the ideas and writing to be powerful and useful for both men and women and took a number of notes and things to put into practice. For men, I would say this touches the magician, the lover, and the king, but not the warrior.

This book is really great, with a detailed and effective study of what it might take to have a deep kind of happiness, that you can sustain under any circumstance. There is of course no hostility to men, but there is no male energy at all available in the book.

The seven pillars are to 1) Take ownership of your happiness2) Understand your mind and train it for happiness3) Unerstand your heart and train it for happiness4) Understand your body and train it5) Understand your sould and train it6) Live a life inspired by purpose7) Cultivate a garden or nourishing relationshipsNamaste. A happiness that goes beyond what is happening "out there" and is built on various solid foundations.

The authors are women and so the vibe is definitely feminine.

I treasure good books, and this is one of the best. How encouraging. Thank you, Marci. Some books just have to be in my home to use for references, and this is one of the special ones. How refreshing. Marci Shimoff not only shares great stories, but reinforces positive attitudes with physical exercises, nutritional guidance, mind boggling insights and emotional support.

If these people could find their way back to happiness who are we to take all that we have for granted. I am usually a skeptic when it comes to this type of book. The author causes you to discover how full of good things your life is.She keeps her focus and builds her case the way a good lawyer would.so even a skeptic like me was convinced by the end. It is a little over-simplified to say it takes the old "glass is either half empty or half full " position but that is it in a nutshell. I mean come on.seven steps to happiness. But I listened to the audio version (it was a gift )and didn't want it to end.The true life examples of people who had endured unbelieveable loss were especially thought provoking, not to mention heart wrenching.
